1. Check Your Waiting List Status
You should expect a few weeks for processing. If you're on the waiting list, your position may depend on your application date or a lottery. If not, you'll receive a letter explaining why. Even eligible applicants might be denied due to limited resources.

Unlike Section 8, you will not receive a voucher in the Low Income Housing Program. Instead, you'll move into an approved unit. Every two years, the authority checks if your household income is below 120% of the AMI. If it exceeds, you should pay for the amount received from HUD for this unit.
