About This Shelter
CAPCA operates an Emergency Shelter program when funds are available. Eligible households experiencing homelessness may receive up to 3 nights hotel stay to allow them time to obtain permanent housing.
Due to funding being extremely limited to qualify the client MUST be verifiably homeless AND one or more of the following:
Physically disabled and receiving disability
Pregnant
Elderly (65+)
Have children (17 and under) that will be staying in the room with them
Have medical conditions that require the use of electricity.
Funds not to exceed $300 may be used for one months past due rent/mortgage/lot lease for a mobile home, first months rent/mortgage, three-night motel stay (case-by-case basis), or a portion of one months past due rent if living full-time at a motel.
