About This Shelter
Winter emergency shelter program operated by a collaborative of local churches runs from late fall to spring. People seeking shelter should call for the shelter location of the week. Shelter location will change as each participating church takes a turn hosting the shelter.
Shelter is open to sober individuals (single men, single women, and married couples) for overnight stays, with priority to residents of New Milford.
Shelter Hours:
Entry to the shelter is from 8:45am - 9:00pm, with doors closed from 9:00pm to 6:00am.
Eligibility:
Ages 18+
Priority to New Milford residents
Additional Information:
If space is available, the shelter will accept people from the neighboring towns: Bridgewater, Brookfield, Kent, New Fairfield, Roxbury, Sherman and Washington
