About This Shelter
Te Ruth Dorsey Emergency Homeless Shelter is a 25 bed shelter for men, women, and families for up to 45-day stay.
Whatcoat Social Services (Whatcoat) provides case management services, transitional housing, and shelter for low-income individuals and families. Enrollment is open to anyone, but priority is given to homeless individuals and families, victims of domestic violence and those formerly in foster care. Services include assistance with obtaining employment, housing, continuing education and increasing income.
Whatcoat also includes the following services:
Ruth Dorsey Emergency Homeless Shelter a 46 bed shelter for men, women, and families for up to 30-day stay.
Vera's Haven transitional Housing 10 townhomes for households who commit to working and continuing their education for up to two years.
