We are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Crisis Shelter provides immediate crisis intervention 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for women and men, with or without children, to escape a domestic violence situation. (Men are housed at a safe, off-site location.) Upon entering the shelter, clients are offered the following:
    Safety
    Food
    Clothing
    Personal care items
    Transportation to and from appointments and work
    Domestic violence education
    Support groups
    Help identifying options and resources
    Assistance with referrals
    Assistance navigating the legal system
    Case management
    Access to a computer lab
    GED and job skills classes
    Programs for children, including access to tutoring and a music therapist
    Support groups
    Physical and mental health evaluations and support

YWCA Northeast Indiana's Domestic Violence Crisis Shelter provides a safe, nurturing environment for women and children to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually, thus empowering them to make decisions about the future.
