About This Shelter
Wainscott Hall is a transitional home serving men, women and families. We provide intensive case management, life skills classes, and numerous services to assist in achieving independence.
We provide a variety of services, including:
Transitional Housing
Intensive Case Management
Employment search assistance
Life Skills Training
Financial Literacy
Referrals to community organizations
Advocacy
Veterans Expanded Services Program
Volunteer Opportunities:
Child Care Provider: Care for the children of residents while they attend classes or case management appointments. Contact us for specific days and times. Child care is usually needed for only an hour or two at a time.
Handyman: Perform basic repairs and maintenance on the shelter. Will need to provide most of your own tools. An hour or two per week or less.
Office Assistant: Work in the office, assisting with correspondence, filing, organizing and some help with resident check in and exit. An hour or more Monday through Friday, 9-5.
Events: Help plan, organize, and work special events. Hours vary.
