Cecil County Department of Social Services, Domestic Violence Rape Crisis Program

Provides services for victims and their family of domestic violence with assistance from community based programs.
SERVICES:
1) 24-HOUR HOTLINE: For persons with questions or concerns regarding domestic violence or sexual assault.
2) SHELTER: Provides shelter for women, with or without children. Must have a history of serious domestic abuse or have been recently abused. Maximum 8-week stay. Case management. Provides referrals to men's shelters.
3) BATTERERS' PROGRAM: 26-week anger management program designed to confront the violent behaviors of those individuals (men and women) who physically abuse their spouses and/or families. Self and court referrals accepted.
4) COUNSELING PROGRAM: Individual and group counseling provided to adolescent and adult victims of domestic violence and sexual assault abuse.
5) REFERRALS LEGAL SERVICES: Referrals to legal services for emergency domestic violence situations.
6) ADVOCACY/SUPPORT: Accompanies victims of sexual assault and domestic violence to hospitals, courts and police stations.

Eligibility Ages 14 and older for counseling
Sliding scale fee for Shelter.
