About This Shelter
The Jackson Interfaith Shelter is an emergency shelter for men, women and children. The men's dorm has 32 beds and the women & children's dorm has 44 beds.
Shelter Information:
Individuals staying at the shelter must be 18 years of age or older, with the exception of minors staying with at least one parent.
Check-in times are 10:00 am, 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm every day of the week. Please call ahead or arrive prior to check-in time.
There is no fee to reside at the shelter.
Clients are expected to be able to live independently, while understanding, and respecting the ever-changing community living atmosphere the shelter emulates. There are multiple bunk beds in each dorm, and they do not have nurses on staff.
Wake up is at 7:00 am and curfew is 8:00 pm. They encourage employment, and late passes will be provided for individuals who are employed and need to return after their shift has ended.
Community meals hours:
Every Day 7:30am, 12:00pm and 5:00pm.Donations:They can always take food donations, both food supplies and prepared food.
They do not take clothing donations, as they have a partnership with St. Vincent de Paul and the clients can get clothing there free of charge.
