St. Rocco's Family Residence Emergency Shelter

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark offers this emergency shelter through St. Rocco's Family Residence for up to 15 homeless families.

Eligibility:
Essex County residents.
Referred by (DFAB), City of Newark, and (SSH) program for working families.

Shelter Services:
Short-term supervised emergency shelter
Three meals a day
Assessment/planning
Case management
Housing
Education
Clothing
Individual counseling
Educational workshops
Parenting skills
Referral to community resources
Job and housing placement
Referrals for mental health and substance abuse services.

Additional Information:
Prevention Program for Essex County residents at risk for eviction or needing assistance with paying overdue Public Service bills.
