The Center for Independent Living in Central Florida is a HUD-certified housing consulting agency. The goal of Housing Counseling Services at CIL is to provide knowledge, resources, and guidance on affordable, accessible housing for people on low and very low incomes with disabilities and their families.
Their aim is to help people with disabilities to improve their housing conditions and to provide them with the knowledge they need to fulfill their responsibilities for owning and renting a home.
There is a wide variety of free lessons offered by CIL.

Homeless services
When a person slips into the homeless, there may be other problems that make the situation worse such as substance abuse, mental health problems, relationship breakdowns, or problems with the law.
CIL provides advice and other resources to help homelessness and other life problems that may contribute to the problem.
Housing services for the elderly
The Center for Independent Living Housing Services provides education and resources for seniors to support active aging.
