Weaver Community Housing Association

Cooperative housing provides a unique and innovative approach to developing affordable, sustainable homes and communities.

The weaver community housing association creates and manages cooperative projects in the chapel hill/Carrboro area and helps to develop the model throughout the region.

The mission of the weaver community housing association is to:

1) provide permanently affordable housing

2) empower residents to make decisions and cooperatively control their home 

3) create ecologically sound, sustainable co-op communities that foster self-sufficiency and serve as a model for re-shaping suburban and urban lifestyles.
