Eligibility
The Housing Authority of Maricopa County (HAMC) Emergency Housing Voucher waiting list is currently open. Applications for referrals are being accepted from July 31, 2021, until further notice.
To apply during the opening period, contact the Maricopa Continuum of Care (CoC) at (602) 595-8700 or any of the Coordinated Entry Points available here.
Please note: According to the HAMC, "In order to be eligible for an EHV, an individual or family must meet one of four eligibility categories:
- Homeless
- At risk of homelessness
- Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking
- Recently homeless and for whom providing rental assistance will prevent the family’s homelessness or having high risk of housing instability."
Preferences have not yet been confirmed.
It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
