Eligibility

The Albany Housing Authority (AHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled households.

The AHA offers six Public Housing communities with 1,117 units for families and senior/disabled households:

Please note: The Amp 4 and Amp 6 offices are not accepting Public Housing applications at this time.

To apply, download, then print and complete the applications for the Amp location listed below.

Amp 1 (716 Society Ave., Albany, GA) is currently accepting applications for 2,3,4 bedroom units.

2. Amp 2 (921 Cherry Ave., Albany, GA) is currently accepting applications for three bedroom units only.

3. Amp 3 (401 Flint Ave., Albany, GA) is only accepting applications for one bedroom units.

4. Amp 5 (526 Landings Lane, Albany, GA) is currently accepting applications for three and four bedrooms only.

Once the application has been completed, it must be returned to the Amp location you are to applying to. The addresses for each location are listed above.

Be sure to include these documents with your application: photo IDs for all adult household members, proof of all income, birth certificates, and social security cards.

The AHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: displaced due to fire, disaster, or government action, participating and completing strive to thrive initiative or similar program, stable work history, elderly, disabled, homeless, or veteran.
