Eligibility
The Housing Authority of the City of Vidalia (HACV) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families.
Please note: The one bedroom waiting list is currently closed.
There are three ways to apply:
1. Visit the HACV to pick up an application, located at 907 Morris St., Visalia, GA 30474 during normal office hours.
2. Apply online here. Please note: after submitting the online application, you must visit the HACV to hand in birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, marriage certificate if applicable, divorce papers if applicable, and Social Security award letters if applicable.
3. Download an application here, then print and complete.
Once the application has been completed, it can be hand delivered to the address listed above, between the hours of 8:30 am until 11:00 am and 1:30 pm until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, marriage certificate if applicable, divorce papers if applicable, and photo IDs for all adult household members.
The HACV does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: displaced by natural disaster, displaced by government action, substandard living conditions, disabled, or a veteran.
