Macon County, Illinois Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Decatur Housing Authority (DHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last available on October 1, 2019, and accepted on October 2, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to pick up the application at the DHA Administrative Office on October 1, 2019. Applications were distributed for one day only.

Once the application was completed, it must have been mailed to the DHA by October 1, 2019, standard mail delivery, and be received by the DHA on October 2, 2019.

This waiting list had the following preferences: Live or work in Macon County at the time of the application.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
