The Wayne County Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and elderly/disabled individuals.
The approximate wait time for public housing is 3-6 months.

To apply for public housing you must apply in person to 303 N. 1st St. #1 Fairfield, IL 62837, Monday-Friday during normal office hours. Please be sure to bring originals of birth certificates, social security cards, proof of income, and photo IDs for each adult household member. Also, all adult household members must be present at the time you apply because fingerprinting will be done at the office.
