Oak Park, Illinois Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Oak Park Housing Authority (OPHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

The OPHA last accepted Section 8 HCV applications for this waiting list from March 14, 2022, until March 25, 2022. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limit for each household size were as follows:

• 1 Person $32,550 | 5 Persons $50,350
• 2 Persons $37,300 | 6 Persons $54,100
• 3 Persons $41,950 | 7 Persons $57,800
• 4 Persons $46,600 | 8 Persons $61,550

This waiting list had the following preferences: The OPHA gives preferences to very low-income households who are:

• Legal residents of Oak Park; or
• Currently employed 30 hours or more per week in the Village of Oak Park; or
• Hired to work 30 hours or more per week in the Village of Oak Park

150 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
