Eligibility

The Terre Haute Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.

This housing authority offers 575 units dedicated to senior/disabled individuals, and 460 units for families.

To apply for public housing an application can be picked up by visiting the housing authority, located at 2001 North 19th St., Terre Haute, IN 47804, during normal office hours Monday-Friday.

Once the application has been completed it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. Be sure to include copies of these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, photo IDs for all adult household members, landlord references, and proof of any residence for the past five years.

This housing authority does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: victim of domestic violence, homeless, displaced by a natural disaster, or live and/or work in Vigo County.
