Eligibility
The Housing Authority of the City of Colby (HACC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.
The HACC offers one Public Housing community with 112 units for families and senior/disabled individuals, ranging in size from studio's to 3 bedrooms.
There are three ways to apply:
- Visit the HACC to pick up a pre-application, located at 600 S. Mission Ridge Avenue, Colby, KS 67701, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm CDT, and from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
- Request to have an application mailed or emailed to you by calling 785-460-6763, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, and from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
- Download a pre-application online here, then print and complete.
Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, and from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards; birth certificates; photo IDs for all adult household members; proof of all income; Social Security benefit award letter; most recent tax return with W-2 and 1099's; if attending college you must provide your college schedule, signed financial aid award letter, and request parent form.
