Kansas City, Kansas Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Kansas City, Kansas Housing Authority (KCKHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for one week in December, 2018; and before that in August, 2012. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences: Live or Work in the Local Area, Displaced by Government Action, Veterans, Homeless,Victims of Domestic Violence, Displaced by Natural Disaster.

1,500 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
