Eligibility
The Bogalusa Housing Authority (BHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.
The BHA offers three Public Housing communities with 340 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 4 bedrooms.
To apply, visit the BHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 1000 Union Avenue, Bogalusa, LA 70427, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.
Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for everyone in the household, photo IDs for all adult household members, proof of all income, and a food stamp print out (if applicable).
The BHA does have a preference for: Applicants that live and/or work in Bogalusa, elderly, disabled, enrolled in an employment training program, attending school full time, or employed at least 30 hours per week.
