Monroe, Louisiana, Limited Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Monroe Housing Authority (MHA) Limited Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for households detailed below is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from October 20, 2019, until October 31, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

According to the MHA, applications were accepted, "from applicants that are classified with preferences (Elderly, Disabled Head of Household and Veterans)."

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to visit the MHA Annex.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Elderly and Disabled Head or Co-head of Household
• Involuntary Displacement (Disaster, Government Action)
• Veteran or surviving spouse

It is not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list, weighed by order of preferences.
