Public Housing Waiting List

Please note: The family public housing waiting list is currently closed.

The CHA offers two family public housing communities, and one community dedicated to senior/disabled individuals.

There are two ways to apply:

1. Visit the CHA to pick up an application, located at 54 Locke St., Chelsea, MA 02150, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

2. Download an application here, then print and complete.

Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. 

If claiming any preferences, documentation must be included with the application.

The CHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: homeless, veteran, displaced by natural forces, displaced by public action, victim of domestic violence, AHUP participant, or a transfer.
