Eligibility
The Newton Housing Authority (NHA) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for senior/disabled individuals.
Please note: The NHA does not offer a federal public housing program for families.
The NHA offers three federal public housing communities with 298 units for senior/disabled individuals.
There are two ways to apply:
1. Request an application be mailed to you by calling 617-552-5501 during normal office hours.
2. Visit the NHA to pick up an application, located at 82 Lincoln St., Newton Highlands, MA 02461, during normal office hours.
Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.
Be sure to include copies of these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.
The NHA does have a preference for applicants who live and/or work in Newton.
