Eligibility
The Springfield Housing Authority (SHA) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.
Please note: Only the four bedroom units have an open waiting list for families.
The SHA offers 10 public housing communities with 1,806 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.
To apply, download the application here, then print and complete.
Once the application has been completed, it must be mailed to 35 A Saab Ct., P.O. Box 1609, Springfield, MA 01101.
Be sure to include copies of these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, verification of assets, and photo IDs for all adult household members.
The SHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: Live and/or work in Springfield.
