Eligibility
The Housing Authority of the City of Richton (HACR) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.
The HACR offers one Public Housing community with 56 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.
To apply, visit the the HACR to pick up an application, located at 203 Walnut St., Richton, MS 39476, between the hours of 8:00 am until 12:00 pm, Monday-Thursday.
Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.
Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of income, photo IDs for all adult household members.
The HACR does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: working families, elderly, disabled, or displaced by government action or natural disaster.
