Forsyth County, North Carolina Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of Winston-Salem (HAWS) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

The HACWS last accepted Section 8 HCV applications for this waiting list from November 30, 2021 until December 2, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Any family that has been previously terminated from its HCV program due to insufficient program funding. 
• Families that have been displaced from Public Housing due to actions of the PHA involving redevelopment and disposition or demolition of Public Housing.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
