Eligibility

The Wilson Housing Authority (WHA) Public Housing waiting list for 2-Bedroom apartments is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least February, 2021, until further notice.

There are two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Pint the paper application online here. Select the "Public Housing Application" link.
  2. Pick up an application Monday-Thursday, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm ET, at one of the following locations:
  • Forrest Road Homes-502 Parkview St.
  • Whitfield Homes-633 E. Walnut St.
  • E.B. Jordan Homes- 1800-H Fountain Dr.
  • WHA Admin office- 301 E. Nash St.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be emailed to [email protected].

This waiting list has the following preferences:

  • Involuntary Displacement
  • Veteran/Homeless
  • Working Family
    Defined as being self-employed, working an average of 20 hours or more a week for at least 11 months, or being seasonally employed for 2 years with the current employer and working 20 hours a week or more). Includes persons 62 years or older.
