Eligibility
The Nebraska City Housing Authority (NCHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for senior/disabled households.
Please note: The NCHA does not offer a family Public Housing program.
The NCHA offers one Public Housing community with 75 units for senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 2 bedrooms.
There are three ways to apply:
- Submit an online pre-application here.
- Download a pre-application here, then print and complete.
- Visit the NCHA to fill out a pre-application, located at 200 N. 3rd Street, Nebraska City, NE 68410, from 7:30 am until 12:00 pm; and 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm CT, Monday-Friday.
Once the paper pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above, from 7:30 am until 12:00 pm; and 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
Documents are not needed at this time.
Preferences have not been identified.
Important note: Applicants who have been placed on the waiting list must inform the housing authority immediately if your application information changes (such as contact information, income, and household members). In the case that the office sends a notice that does not get returned, or if application information is out of date, your name may be terminated from the waiting list. Contact the housing authority to find out how to update application information.
