Atlantic City, New Jersey Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Atlantic City Housing Authority (ACHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted for one day only on November 24, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

• 1 person $29,050 | 5 persons $44,850
• 2 persons $33,200 | 6 persons $48,150
• 3 persons $37,350 | 7 persons $51,500
• 4 persons $41,500 | 8 persons $54,800

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Family that has been terminated from its HCV program due to insufficient program funding.
  • Therefore, families that are terminated due to insufficient funding must reapply for assistance and be selected from the waiting list. Families that reapply will still be subject to the ACHA’s eligibility requirements.
• Public Housing families experiencing unusual circumstances where there is a clear and present danger to the family because of violence other than domestic.
  • Families that apply for assistance must be selected from the waiting list and are subject to the ACHA’s eligibility requirements.

200 applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
