Eligibility
The Johnson City Housing Authority (JCHA) Public Housing waiting list for 2-5 Bedroom apartments is currently open, since at least April, 2019, until further notice.
There are two ways to apply:
- Visit the JCHA to pick up an application, located at 901 Pardee Street, Johnson City, Tennessee 37605, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am until 4:30 pm, and Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am ET.
- Download and print the application online here.
Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm ET. A personal interview will be conducted when the application is turned in.
The following documents are required with the application: Photo IDs for all adult household members, Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all households members, proof of all income, bank statements, proof of marital status, contact information for current and previous landlords, and medical expense report for elderly or disabled family members.
This waiting list has the following preferences: Homeless, elderly, disabled, working families, or victim of domestic violence.
Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time of application, by order of preferences.
