Grandy Village Revitalization Limited Low-Income Housing Tax Credit - Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) Low-Income Housing Tax Credit/Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list for 2, 3, and 4-Bedroom apartments at Grandy Village Revitalization is currently closed. Applications were last accepted on February 23, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the NRHA, "Additional eligibility criteria:

• Employed for past six months and working at least 15 hours per week (unless elderly or disabled household or the primary caretaker of a blind person or a disabled person as defined by the Social Security Act). 
• Any household member who is 16 years of age and older and not attending school full time shall be employed at minimum 20 hours per week and involved in a job training or vocational program."

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to print the application.

Once the application was completed, it was mailed to the NRHA Occupancy Department.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Head of Household, Spouse or other adult (18 or older) is employed
• Work a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Place of employment is in Norfolk
• Head of Household or Spouse is Disabled
• Head of Household is the primary caregiver for a disabled household member
• Head of Household or Spouse is Elderly
• Head of Household or Spouse is a Veteran with a Honorable or Other Than Honorable Discharge

It was not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list, weighed by order of preferences.
