La Crosse, Wisconsin Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The La Crosse Housing Authority (LHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from January 25, 2021, until February 21, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• La Crosse County resident and Veteran/Serviceperson family or individual with an honorable discharge. Spouse of Veteran/Serviceperson with an honorable discharge and have lived together in the last 5 years. (Verification will be required) 
• La Crosse County resident and have been involuntarily displaced? (Verification will be required) 
• La Crosse County resident and a household with a non-elderly person between the ages of 18-61 years of age who is disabled. (Verification will be required) 
• La Crosse County resident. (Verification will be required) 
• La Crosse County resident and domestic violence victim or homeless family or individual. (Verification will be required)

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
