Hendry County Social Services Clewiston to provide emergency food and shelter needs for qualified recipients.  The United Way along with The Salvation Army have many resources and work with dozens of organizations to help meet the need of the community.  ELIGIBILITY: Proof of citizenship or legal alien ID Photo ID of applicant Proof of Hendry Co. residency at least 90 days, unless referred by the Sheriff's Dept., Abuse Shelter, Hendry-Glades Mental Health, or the Red Cross. Proof of Income SS Card # of all family members Be within the 2006 Dept. of Health and Human Services guidelines.
