Downtown Ecumenical Services Council

Downtown Ecumenical Services Council is a group of area churches that have come together as a charitable organization to provide help to those in need within the community. This assistance can be to help with needs such as food, clothing and financial assistance. Financial Assistance is provided to help with paying rent or utility payments. This assistance is very limited and is dependent upon available funds. When approved and available, it is usually offered in conjunction with other assistance the applicant has received as it is usually given in small amounts. They serve those in need in Clay, Duval, and Nassau counties. No walk-ins are accepted for financial aid.
Mission Statement: DESC seeks to proclaim the love of Jesus Christ by meeting the needs of people in emergency situations or experiencing poverty.
