Oldsmar Cares is a non-profit organization which provides rent and utility assistance, a food pantry, and a clothes closet, all at no cost to those in need in the Oldsmar area. Services include:Food pantry- Those who reside in 34677, 34695, or 33635 may receive 2 bags of groceries once a monthClothes Closet- Provides gently used garments to those who live in 34677, 34695, 33615, or 33635 and may visit twice a month to take up to 2 bags of clothes per visitFinancial assistance- Those who live in the 34677 zip code can receive financial assistance for their rent, mortgage, electric, or water bill. Assistance is limited to $200 total per calendar year per householdOldsmarWorks- Assists with employment by working with local businesses looking for employeesWeekend Food 4 Kids- Program provides children with food over the weekend who depend on the meals they receive in schoolPatchWork Assistance Fund- Up to $500 for special circumstance financial assistance request, assistance is awarded on a one-time basis, previous recipients have received financial assistance after fire, theft, medical and transportation needsHealth screenings- One day a week they are able to provide blood pressure screenings and can offer important health informationHoliday programs- Food service programs during Thanksgiving and EasterFor questions and details, please contact the facility directly.
