The Pawtucket Dept. of Planning and Redevelopment - PAWTUCKET is responsible for planning and overseeing major infrastructure projects for the city, including the renovation of existing facilities and the creation of new ones, such as parks, ballfields, community centers and streets and sidewalks. They are responsible for the activities of the Pawtucket City Planning Commission, including subdivision and site plan review;  the Pawtucket Redevelopment agency, including it housing and commercial rehabilitation loan programs;  the entire designation process of the Pawtucket Historic District Commission; and the business assistance loan programs of Pawtucket's Business Development Corporation.
